About My Trip to Liechtenstein
I had a whirlwind tour of Liechtenstein! In just five hours, I navigated Vaduz’s charming Central Plaza, grabbed lunch, and set off on a scenic walk to the Red House. The climb offered stunning views and a taste of Liechtenstein’s beauty. Though the historic Vaduz Castle was closed for renovations, the panoramic vistas from up there were still worth the trek. I even tried to peek inside the St. Florin Cathedral before making my way back to Switzerland via the iconic Old Rhine Bridge, with the border literally under my feet!

In just five hours, I packed in the highlights of Vaduz, Liechtenstein! Starting at Central Plaza, I got oriented and grabbed lunch before setting off on a scenic walk to the Red House. The climb offered stunning views of orchards, houses, and gardens, a taste of Liechtenstein’s charm. Though the Vaduz Castle, a historical landmark, was closed for renovations, the trek up still proved worthwhile for the breathtaking panoramas. I even spotted a handy public restroom near the Städtle Bus Stop before continuing to the St. Florin Cathedral. Unfortunately, a wedding blocked a peek inside this newer structure.
To wrap up my whirlwind visit, I opted for a scenic walk back to Switzerland. Crossing the historic Old Rhine Bridge, the border between the two countries literally under my feet, I savored the final views before catching a train back from Sevelen Station.

The walk starts at Sevelen Station in Switzerland. From there, you can follow Rheinstrasse Street all the way to the Old Rhine Bridge. Crossing the bridge marks your arrival in Liechtenstein. The walk itself is fairly easy and takes about an hour, making it a manageable activity for most people.
