Thon Hotel Tromsø

As a solo traveler, I spent very little time in my hotel room. I am mainly looking for a comfortable bed, in a prime location for a decent price.  After a lot of searching, I came across the Thon Hotel Tromsø which had exactly what I was looking wanted in a hotel.  This hotel had a comfortable looking room, was located within a block from the city center, and was just under $100 a night.  Within 5 minutes of leaving my hotel, I could be on Storgata Street which was the main shopping area in Tromsø.

Tron Hotel Tromsø had a smooth check-in, and I was in my room within 5 minutes of arriving.  I was surprised when I entered the bathroom of my room to notice that the tile floors were heated.  The heated floor was a great feature, especially after a long day of touring or a long night of chasing the Northern Lights.

There was a daily breakfast buffet that featured an excellent variety of both Norwegian and American style breakfast dishes.  Each hotel room also had an umbrella near the door that guests could use when they left the hotel.

I always use booking.com as my booking website.  I have the .Genius discount which automatically gets me the best rate they can offer.  It isn’t rare to find hotels listed as 45% off the base price.  I often check as the prices and discounts seem to change daily.  When I booked the Tron Hotel Tromsø I was surprised to see it listed at under $100 a night.  My four-night stay came out to $380.

I would highly recommend the Tron Hotel Tromsø for travelers who are looking for a cheaper hotel, with comfortable beds, and excellent amenities.
