The only city I visited during my brief trip to Czechia was Brno. I traveled there by train from Bratislava and spent a half-day exploring the historic center on foot. Highlights included the Labyrinth Under the Vegetable Market, the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, the Brno Astronomical Clock, and the view from the Old Town Hall Tower.

I traveled from Bratislava to Brno by train and spent the afternoon exploring the city on foot. My route included Zelný Trh, the Labyrinth Under the Vegetable Market, the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, Náměstí Svobody, the Brno Astronomical Clock, and Old Town Hall.
One of my favorite stops was the Old Town Hall Tower, where I climbed 173 steps for views over Brno. I also stopped to see the Brno Dragon and visited the Church of St. James area, although tickets to the Brno Ossuary were sold out by the time I arrived.
In this video, I take the train from Bratislava to Brno and spend a half-day exploring the historic center on foot. Stops include Zelný Trh, the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, the Brno Astronomical Clock, Old Town Hall, the Brno Dragon, and the Labyrinth Under the Vegetable Market.
I climbed 173 steps to the top of Brno’s Old Town Hall Tower, where I had my favorite view of the city. From the narrow observation platform, I could see landmarks including the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, Špilberk Castle, Zelný Trh, and the Church of St. James.
I also photographed Brno’s rooftops and the Špitálka cooling tower before heading back down to continue exploring the historic center.
