Czechia Pages By Map
The only city I visited during my brief trip to Czechia was Brno. Brno is a city full of surprises, and my half-day trip revealed some of its most fascinating highlights. From climbing 173 steps to the Old Town Hall Observation Platform for stunning 360-degree views of the city, to uncovering Brno’s hidden history in the Labyrinth under the Vegetable Market, there’s so much to explore. The observation platform offered incredible sights, including landmarks like the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul and Špilberk Castle. Meanwhile, the labyrinth’s medieval tunnels and exhibits showcased Brno’s storied past in a unique and immersive way. Whether it’s panoramic views or underground adventures, Brno has something special for every traveler.

Brno
I spent an unforgettable half-day exploring Brno, traveling there by train from Bratislava. My journey started with a scenic ride using my Eurail pass, and soon I was wandering through Brno’s vibrant streets. Highlights included the historic Zelný Trh and its underground labyrinth, stunning views from the Old Town Hall Observation Platform, and iconic landmarks like the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul. I also marveled at the quirky Brno Astronomical Clock and soaked up the lively atmosphere at Náměstí Svobody. Though renovations and sold-out tickets kept me from fully exploring the Church of St. James and the Brno Ossuary, the day was still packed with memorable sights. Brno offers plenty of charm and history, making it a great option for a quick escape from Bratislava!
