During my visit to Seward and the Kenai Peninsula, I stayed at the Breeze Inn. I chose this hotel due to its location, great rankings, and price. A standard, in late October (the time of my visit,) cost just over $80 per night. This rate was almost one-fourth of the peak summer rate of $300 per night.
Located within walking distance of Seward Harbor, and about a twenty minute drive from the Exit Glacier, the Breeze Inn was the perfect location to see everything that Seward had to offer. In addition to cozy accommodations, the Breeze Inn also had one of the best restaurants in Seward.

The Breeze Inn - The Room
My room at the Breeze Inn was a queen room in the older part of the hotel. This part has an outside entrance and a partial view of Resurrection Bay. There were positives and negatives about my room. First, the positives; the room was spacious, with a flatscreen tv, a warm shower with plenty of pressure, and ample space to hang my clothes. The biggest negative was the comfort of the bed, which had a mattress that was one of the most uncomfortable I’d ever slept on. When I lay on the bed, I literally sunk into the bed and had trouble getting up.
I am wondering if the newer section of the hotel (with inside entrances) might have had newer and more comfortable beds. Regardless, I still recommend this hotel as it was reasonably priced and was located in the best possible place for easy sightseeing.
The Breeze Inn Restaurant
I ate two meals at the Breeze Inn Restaurant which was one of just a few that were open (in October) in Seward. The Breeze Inn Restaurant appeared to be frequented by both locals and tourists. While expensive, I found the food to be excellent.
