Westminster Abbey – A Song Service at the Abbey
A "Song Service" at Westminster Abbey
I visited Westminster Abby in the summer of 2017. My cousin lives in London, and he suggested that we go to a service at Westminster Abbey. The service was their “Song Service” which featured choral music instead of a sermon. The Abbey’s choir was out touring, so a visiting church’s choir was featured. Because this was an active worship service photography was not allowed. The only pictures I was able to take were pictures of the outside.
It was interesting during the final prayer that we all blessed the Royal Family including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Prince William. It was an interesting experience seeing a live service inside London’s most famous church.
If you don’t visit Westminster Abbey during a service the cost is £16. If you would like to pre-purchase your ticket, you can click on the link to to the right.
